Requests
Requests are the individual units of work in Harbory. They represent tasks, deliverables, or action items that your team works on for clients. All requests are managed through a visual kanban board.
The Kanban Board
The requests page displays a drag-and-drop kanban board with three columns:
| Column | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Backlog | pending | New or queued requests not yet started |
| In Progress | in_progress | Work currently being done by your team |
| Done | completed | Finished and delivered requests |
Moving Requests
Drag and drop request cards between columns to update their status. The status change is saved automatically and reflected everywhere — including the client portal.
Request Cards
Each request card on the kanban board shows:
- Title — The name of the request
- Priority — Color-coded badge (High, Medium, Low)
- Client — Which client the request belongs to
- Description preview — A snippet of the request details
Request Detail View
Click any request card to open the full detail view, which includes:
Left Panel
- Title and description — Rich text content with the WYSIWYG editor
- Status — Current status with the ability to change it
- Metadata — Service name, client, creation date, and last updated
Right Panel (Activity)
- Updates — A timeline of all updates posted to this request
- Discussions — Threaded comments on each update
- New Update — Post new updates with visibility controls
Assignment

Creating Requests
Requests can be created in two ways:
- By clients — Through the client portal, clients can submit new requests within their projects
- Internally — Your team can create requests directly from the requests page
Filtering Requests
Use the filter options above the kanban board to narrow down requests by:
- Priority — High, Medium, or Low
- Client — Filter by specific client
- Assignee — See only requests assigned to a specific team member
- Service — Filter by the service the request belongs to
